Align Technology hosted the Invisalign GP Summit 2025

President and CEO of Align Technology, Joe Hogan, opened the plenary session of the Invisalign GP Summit 2025 with a powerful keynote address focusing on the opportunities and leadership of general practitioners in digital dentistry, the optimization of clinical workflows, and the enhancement of patient engagement. His speech set the tone for an innovation-packed weekend dedicated to professional collaboration and clinical excellence.

Align Technology shared key highlights of the Invisalign GP Summit 2025 — the company’s flagship educational and networking event focused on clinical training and peer-to-peer experience exchange. The summit was designed to help clinicians and their teams develop and transform their practices using Invisalign aligners, iTero scanners, and the Align Digital Platform.

Scale of the event and professional community

Over 700 clinicians and dental clinic staff participated in the three-day educational program, which included hands-on training, peer presentations, and strategies for improving clinical outcomes and patient experience. Attendees had the opportunity not only to expand their professional network but also to hear real patient stories that vividly illustrated the event’s central theme—”why experience matters.”

Align Technology leadership’s vision

President and CEO of Align Technology, Joe Hogan, opened the general session with a dynamic keynote address, emphasizing the role of general practitioners in digital dentistry, opportunities for growth, optimization of clinical processes, and creating a higher-quality patient journey—thereby setting the direction for a weekend of innovation, collaboration, and clinical mastery.

“It was a great honor for us to welcome doctors and their teams to the Invisalign GP Summit 2025. This summit is one of our favorite formats for engaging with customers, allowing us to learn about their successes in treatment using Invisalign and the digital tools that support their practices,” noted Hogan. “Together, we celebrated the transformation of 20 million smiles by Invisalign doctors, shared clinical and managerial insights on utilizing Invisalign, iTero scanners, and exocad software, and discussed innovations shaping the future of digital dentistry.”

The Align Digital Platform and new technological solutions

Throughout the conference, participants had the opportunity to explore and engage with Align’s latest innovations, designed to enhance the Invisalign treatment experience within the Align Digital Platform—a comprehensive suite of software, systems, and services that deliver a seamless and integrated workflow for all stakeholders: clinicians, laboratories, patients, and consumers.

“We know that experience matters—for clinicians, their teams, and patients,” emphasized Frank Quinn, Executive Vice President of Align and Managing Director for the Americas region. “Clinical confidence and efficiency with Invisalign are at the core of creating an exceptional smile journey for patients of all ages and case complexities. Invisalign GP Summit 2025 helped enhance the quality of interaction at every stage of working with the Align Digital Platform.”

Innovation Hub as a center for hands-on learning

The Innovation Hub served as an immersive zone for personalized demonstrations, expert consultations, and hands-on training. It showcased digital tools, resources, and programs designed to help dental practices achieve world-class standards in both clinical and business outcomes.

Within the Innovation Hub, solutions were showcased, including a hands-on demonstration of the new iTero Lumina intraoral scanner with enhanced scanning speed, accuracy, and ergonomics; the Invisalign Smile Video tool, providing dynamic visualizations of treatment outcomes with realistic facial movements, speech, and smiles; the latest digital scanning and imaging solutions within the Align Oral Health Suite, Invisalign Outcome Simulator Pro, and a preview of Align X-ray Insights; patient engagement tools and marketing strategies; personalized treatment planning with tailored clinician support; as well as demonstrations of Invisalign Smile Architect and the iTero Design Suite.

Educational sessions and clinical lectures

The summit program included a series of thematic sessions and lectures focused on prevention, digital planning, expanding the clinical capabilities of aligners, and improving patient treatment acceptance. The presentations covered interdisciplinary collaboration, same-day dentistry, strategies for treating complex cases, the application of the Invisalign Palatal Expander, new approaches to diagnosis and visualization, as well as modern tools for enhancing patient consent to treatment.

Supporting women in dentistry

As part of the summit, Align Technology also introduced the Align Women’s Smile Collective—a new program aimed at supporting and recognizing women shaping the future of dentistry. The project focuses on developing leadership, strengthening professional communities, and inspiring the next generation of dentists.

Participant feedback and practical value of the summit

“The Invisalign GP Summit is an event I always look forward to,” shared Dr. Corey Anolik, a general dentist from Gaithersburg, Maryland. “After concluding the 2025 summit, I feel energized and ready to implement new ideas and clinical protocols in my practice. I genuinely appreciate the opportunity to connect with colleagues from across North America and exchange approaches to patient care. The hands-on sessions provided concrete, applicable strategies that will directly help my team expand the use of Invisalign aligners. For me, this is an unmissable event.”
