Edlira Baruti

An orthodontist with international experience and scientific training. After completing her specialization in Tirana, she completed a clinical and research internship in orthodontics in Turkey, where she received her PhD in 2005.

Dr. Edlira Baruti has been working at the EDLIRDENT ORTHODONTI Clinic in Tirana since 2011, and since 2011 she has been acting as a coordinator and orthodontist in the Department of Orthognathic Surgery at the Salus Clinic in Tirana. From 2011 to 2014, she taught orthodontics and gnathology at the American University of Tirana, and since 2014 she has been teaching externally at the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Health Sciences.

Together with Dr. Gurien Demiraqi, she developed the Baruti-Demiraqi protocol, the PAOO technique with bone and soft tissue grafts, including sticky bone and sticky tooth technologies. He is a member of the Albanian Order of Physicians (since 1998), the Albanian Dental Association (since 2005, was its President in Tirana 2005-2007), as well as the founder of the Albanian Orthodontic Association. It is a member of the international organizations FEO, WFO, BAOS.
