The CareQuest Institute for Oral Health announced the appointment of Wade Rayek as Chief Executive Officer. He succeeds Pam Reeve, who previously served as acting CEO while also holding the position of Board Chair of the organization. In his role as CEO, Rayek will be responsible for the strategic direction and operational activities of the CareQuest Institute. His duties include managing the organization’s endowment, charitable investments, advocacy efforts, administration of dental insurance and benefits, as well as overseeing the innovation division. The institute’s work is centered on expanding access to dental care and reducing disparities in oral health across the nation.

Wade Rayek has over 20 years of executive experience in the healthcare sector. Previously, he served as the Chief Growth Officer at Centene Corporation and was the President and CEO of Peach State Health Plan — a Centene subsidiary in Georgia. Early in his career, Rayek worked at the cabinet level in the Ohio state government, which provided him with expertise in public policy and governance.

In addition to his professional work in healthcare, Rayek is actively involved in community service. He chairs the board of directors of the LGBTQ+ Victory organization, serves as vice chair of the board of directors for the High Museum of Art, and is a member of the board of trustees of the Woodruff Arts Center. Furthermore, he sits on the advisory council of the James A. Baker III Institute at Rice University.
Wade Rayek holds a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University and an MBA from the University of Michigan, forming a strong academic foundation for his managerial and strategic work.
