Amber DryMill for Dry Milling: Next-Generation Lithium Disilicate and Digital Prosthetic Laboratory Transformation

HASSBIO, a global leader in the development of dental prosthetics materials, officially introduced Amber DryMill to the South Korean market. A lithium disilicate-based material developed specifically for dry milling was demonstrated at the Korea Dental Technology Expo & Scientific Conference in Koyang.

Edge stability during milling

Amber DryMill combines the benefits of dry milling technology with the optical and adhesive characteristics inherent to lithium disilicates. According to the manufacturer, the microstructure of the material is optimized for milling while maintaining edge stability of restorations, including at minimal marginal thickness. The company notes potential reduction in bur wear, which increases productivity and extends tool lifespan.

Optical properties and cementation

The material is characterized by fluorescence and light transmittance, providing a natural appearance of restorations. Finished products made from Amber DryMill can be etched with hydrofluoric acid and adhesively cemented using standard protocols for lithium disilicates.

Market expansion schedule

Amber DryMill received regulatory approval in South Korea in June of the current year. Currently, the material is available in block format; disk format is planned for launch by October. HASSBIO is conducting an evaluation program involving laboratories testing the material and providing feedback.

Global launch is scheduled for International Dental Show 2027 (March 16–20, Cologne, Germany), where the company will present accumulated clinical data and the complete Amber DryMill product line.
