European Association for Osseointegration in Lisbon: 33rd Congress and the Formation of a Global Standard for Implantological Practice

The 33rd annual congress of the European Association for Osseointegration (EAO) will be held from September 24 to 26 in the Portuguese capital. Registration is open until September 17 and provides preferential rates for early participants.

Scientific program and event organization

The congress will be held under the motto “Ensuring Health and Predictability: Shaping the Future of Patient Care” and is dedicated to innovative approaches in implantology. The event will be hosted by Centro de Congressos de Lisboa — the city’s largest congress center, and clinicians, researchers, and dental industry specialists from around the world are expected to attend.

The scientific program will include lectures, interactive sessions, and clinical case reviews covering implant surgery, prosthodontics, peri-implant diseases, and digital innovations. The forum will feature a major exhibition where companies will present modern technologies and solutions for tooth restoration. The second time the Portuguese capital hosts the EAO congress will underscore its significance as a global platform for knowledge exchange in the field of dental implantation.

Partnership and accessibility for participants

A special partnership with the Brazilian Society of Periodontology and Implantology will facilitate international cooperation. Two special sessions dedicated to the history and prospects of implantology are scheduled for September 26.

The official language of the congress is English; however, thanks to artificial intelligence, simultaneous interpretation is available in more than 60 languages. Participants will be able to follow the broadcast on their mobile devices in real time.
