Dr. Yoshi Terauchi, DMD, PhD, is a world-renowned endodontist recognized for his expertise in non-surgical endodontic retreatment, broken file removal, ledge bypassing, and MTA obturation. He maintains a private practice limited to endodontics and has been practicing in this field since 1998. He earned his DDS in 1993, completed his residency at Tokyo Medical & Dental University in 1995, and later received his PhD from the Department of Endodontics.
Dr. Terauchi is also associated with Tokyo Medical & Dental University as a lecturer and is the founder and director of Dental Arts Academy in Tokyo, one of Japan’s leading centers for advanced dental education. He is the developer of the Terauchi File Retrieval Kit, including the Yoshi Loop micro-lasso and modified ultrasonic tips designed to remove broken instruments from narrow and curved canals with minimal sacrifice of tooth structure.
He has published in national and international peer-reviewed journals and contributed to textbook chapters, including the 11th edition of Pathways of the Pulp. Dr. Terauchi lectures internationally and is widely recognized for developing predictable, minimally invasive protocols for managing some of the most complex cases in modern endodontics.
